Elevating the countryside lifestyle with a visually stunning forever family home

Nestled halfway between the market towns of Hungerford and Newbury with glorious countryside views, this pretty and busy family home felt discounted from its stunning location.

A meticulous redesign of the ground floor layout ensures a harmonious flow extending seamlessly to the garden, with bi-fold doors uniting the living and dining areas. The addition of a new roof facilitated the introduction of generously proportioned skylights, illuminating the main hallway and staircase with a much-desired infusion of natural light. 

Each element of the design added a new dimension yet didn’t detract due to the use of glass, oak frame and black timber cladding. Our aim was to enhance the whole house a family home with a timeless yet contemporary country interior, where craftsmanship meets design excellence.

We love: The seamless integration of the oak frame gives the impression that it has all been part of the house. The architectural dialogue extends skyward, with the stunning oak frame arch, giving rise to a breath-taking master bedroom balcony. 

Sustainability/Eco elements: In our pursuit of enhancing the residence, sustainability took centre stage. A new roof and windows stand testament to our commitment to marrying aesthetics with eco-conscious design.
