Sustainability focussed transformation, preserves and revitalises impeccably elegant Grade II listed residence

Despite its initial allure, this property lacked functionality for a modern family. A meticulous refurbishment was undertaken, encompassing a new roof, a kitchen extension, and the transformation of an old stable block into guest accommodation.

Absolute’s careful and sympathetic intervention aimed at achieving full sustainability home while preserving the property’s inherent charm. The goal was not to make a bold statement with the extensions but to introduce thoughtful changes that enhance the overall living experience.

The addition of a new kitchen block, including a much-needed boot room, exemplifies this practical approach. Internally, every detail, from electrics to heating and bathrooms, underwent upgrades. Sustainability/Eco elements: A complete refurbishment including a new heating system, electrical services, solar pv and battery installation. The external cart shed was also converted into a beautiful contemporary annex space offering guest accommodation. The entire roof was removed, insulated, new coverings installed, and chimney breasts rebuilt. All the works resulted in a luxurious and comfortable home, finished to a superb standard.
