Architect/Architectural technologist

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Architect or Architectural technologist, with a keen interest and expert knowledge of residential design and construction. Working  from a relaxed, friendly environment in Newbury, West Berkshire, the role will require close liaison with  our multidisciplinary team of architects, designers and project managers with principle responsibility for developing architectural projects from planning through to tender stages. You will be working on inspirational residential design projects with Individual contracts ranging generally from £100k to £1m. Contract working and flexible hours will be considered. You must be an enthusiastic and talented individual, capable of taking on responsibility and working in a team environment. We are looking for individuals with:

  • A passion for residential architecture and interior design
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK residential construction and UK Building regulations
  • Experience of preparing building regulations applications, construction detailing and specifications for tender purposes.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, well organised & able to communicate well, working independently with minimum supervision, as a team and with third parties
  • Good CAD skills, experience of Vectorworks desirable but not essential.
  • Good planning & personal skills, well organised & able to communicate well working  both independently with little supervision, as a team and with third parties
  • A willingness to work pro-actively in a studio environment and contribute to developing the business.
  • At least 5 years post-qualification experience in the UK although Intermediate or training positions may also be considered – please apply
